"Resus Andy - Life Support Tuition is an independent resuscitation training company that offers high-quality and evidence-based courses for anyone who wants to learn how to save lives. Whether you are a health professional, a student, or a member of thepublic, you will benefit from the expertise and passion of Andy Winter, the founder and lead instructor of Resus Andy.

Andy Winter is not only a qualified registered children’s nurse with over 18 years of clinical experience in children’s emergency nursing and resuscitation training but also an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of health simulation. He has worked at prestigious teaching hospitals in London and Northamptonshire and is currently an assistant professor and course director at Coventry University, where he leads the MSc in Health Simulation programme. He is also pursuing a PhD on the topic of breaking badnews, and how simulation can help improve the skills and confidence of clinicians in this challenging area.

Andy is certified by the Resuscitation Council (UK) to teach a range of courses, including Advanced Life Support, European Paediatric Life Support, Newborn Life Support, Immediate Life Support, and Paediatric Immediate Life Support. He is also able to tailorthe courses to suit the needs and preferences of his clients, using innovative and engaging methods of simulation.

Andy’s passion for teaching is evident in everything he does. He believes that resuscitation training is not only a professional duty but also a personal empowerment. He aims to equip his clients with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to handle any life-threatening situation with confidence and competence. With Resus Andy, you will not only learn how to save lives but also how to make a difference.

Unfortunately in March 2025, Dominie, founder & owner of Bowden Stores, was put in a situation that no parent wants to be in. Her daughter, 4yr old Sybil suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest. Due to the training that Andy had given Dominie and her husband, they were able to resuscitate Sybil. 

Due to in-hospital complications, Sybil has unfortunately been left with significant brain damage. Whilst this is incredibly rare, it has changed the course of everyday life for her and her family. 

As a dear friend and advocate for Sybil, Andy has kindly offered to donate all funds from his CHILDRENS LIFE SUPPORT WORKSHOP workshop to support Sybil on her journey, helping to provide her with the equipment and therapy she will need over the near future.
